# Annotating photos

> Draw, write, and color directly on a photo with Markup, and reopen it later to adjust what you drew.

Open any photo and select **Markup** to draw directly on it using the built-in editor: pick a drawing tool, add freehand text, choose a color, and use **Clear** to wipe the markup and start over if needed. Select **Save** when you're done, or **Cancel** to discard your changes.

Annotations save as part of the photo, so they appear the same way for everyone who views the job, and you can reopen a photo later to keep adjusting its markup.
