# My Ricoh Theta camera won't connect

> The camera's own Wi-Fi is the usual culprit, especially after it falls asleep between shots.

Make sure the camera is powered on and your phone is joined to the camera's own Wi-Fi network (not your regular internet). The Captures 360 screen shows a live connection status and walks you through reconnecting if the camera's Wi-Fi drops — this is common if the camera goes to sleep between shots.
