# Refining a proposal with AI

> Add, remove, and reword line items and sections by asking in plain language instead of editing fields.

Once a draft is generated, use the built-in AI chat to adjust it in plain language instead of hand-editing every field. It understands requests like:

* "Remove the drywall removal line item from the Reconstruction section"
* "Add 3 air movers and 1 dehumidifier to the Drying section"
* "Change the quantity of the baseboard line to 250 linear feet"

It can add, edit, or remove line items and whole sections, and rename sections. One thing it can't do yet: adjust a line item's markup percentage directly from chat — edit that field by hand on the line item itself. You can still edit any line item directly at any point before sending, whether or not AI touched it.
