# Requesting a Xactimate (ESX) estimate

> Pick locations, equipment, materials, and estimate types, then choose credits or pay-as-you-go before submitting.

For carrier-ready Xactimate estimates, request one from **Settings → Store → Request an Estimate** (also reachable from the job on mobile). Pick the job, then work through the flow: select locations, list equipment on-site, list materials, choose your payment method (credits or pay-as-you-go), and review the order summary before submitting. Choose one or more estimate types — Water Mitigation, Fire Mitigation, Contents/Pack-Out, Mold/Asbestos/Lead, Biohazard/Trauma, or Interior Repairs. TrueRestore's estimating team returns a finished .esx file and PDF for you to review and accept.

Submitting a request automatically creates a scoped **sketcher link** so the estimating team can access just the floor-plan data they need — separate from any customer-facing share link on the job (see [Team, participants, and sharing a job externally](/articles/team-participants-and-sharing-a-job-externally)).

  Admins can track every request from the **ESX Orders** page in the web sidebar — it shows each order's status and flags anything that needs your review.
