# Uploading or hand-drawing a floor plan

> Photograph a sketch or draw the walls by hand to get a map you can take moisture readings on.

Don't have a LiDAR-capable device on hand? A location map can also be created by uploading a photo of an existing sketch, or by drawing the room's walls by hand directly in the app. Either method produces a map that's ready to take moisture readings on, the same as a LiDAR scan.
