A Location is a room or area within a job — Kitchen, Master Bath, Basement, etc. All the field work you’ll read about in this help center (photos, floor plans, moisture readings, scope sheets, work notes) lives at the location level, so documentation stays organized room-by-room.
- From the job, select Add Location and name it.
- Optionally apply work tags to flag what kind of work happened there — turn on Use job tags as default to copy the job’s own tags onto every new location automatically.
- Reorder locations by dragging, and merge duplicates from the location menu if two get created for the same room.
Work tags are grouped into three kinds, and a location can carry any combination:
A location can only be deleted once it has no photos, readings, or posts attached to it.
Merging two locations combines their photos, readings, floor plans, videos, and feed posts into the one you keep, and merges their scope sheet answers question-by-question. It does not combine their work tags — only the tags on the location you keep survive the merge, so double-check them afterward if the merged-away location had tags the other didn’t.
