Per-item cost and margin drive the customer price through the gross-margin formula cost divided by one minus margin.
Your company’s Schedule is a price list of line items, each with its own cost and margin percentage, set under Settings → Time & Materials. Margin is set per line item rather than as one company-wide number, so you have full control over which items carry more or less margin — review your schedule periodically if you want to shift pricing broadly.
