Before you place equipment, the Equipment Calculator tells you how much you actually need for the space — it’s a planning tool, separate from both tracking modes above, and doesn’t place anything for you. Once you have a recommendation, you still log the actual placements through codeless or legacy tracking. There are two calculators, both reached from the job menu:
  • Dehumidifier Calculator — enter the dehumidifier type (LGR or Conventional/Desiccant), the water damage class (1–4), the room’s chamber volume (which you can pull straight from an existing floor plan instead of measuring by hand), how open or dense the space is, construction type, whether HVAC is assisting, envelope tightness, temperature, and relative humidity. It returns a recommended extraction rate in PPD, then lets you pick specific units and shows whether your selection meets, falls short of, or overshoots that target.
  • Air Mover / AFD Calculator — enter the chamber volume (again, importable from a floor plan) and your desired air changes per hour. It returns a target airflow in CFM, and shows the same meets/falls-short/overshoots comparison as you add units.
Both calculators are meant to take the guesswork out of “how many dehumidifiers does this room need” — run the numbers first, then place and log the equipment you land on.
