Web vs. mobile: which app for what - TrueRestore Help

Who it’s for:TechnicianProject LeadAdmin

Available on:WebMobile

Both apps show the same jobs, but they’re built for different moments in a job’s life:

Task	Best on
Creating a job, setting up the team	Web (fastest data entry) or Mobile (in the field)
360° captures, room scans, Copilot checklists	Mobile
Taking photos in the field	Mobile (uploading and reviewing them works on web too)
Moisture and atmospheric readings	Mobile in the room, web to review or correct
Working with no or spotty signal	Mobile (offline mode)
Building estimates, reviewing T&M, invoicing	Web
Team, billing, and company settings	Web
Generating reports, Performance Hub, eSignature	Web only
Asking Ripple a question about a job	Either — conversations sync between the two

A short list of features are mobile-only because they depend on the phone’s camera or sensors: LiDAR room scanning, 360° photo capture, and Walkthrough voice notes. Everything else — including reviewing, editing, and reporting on what the field captured — works on either app.

Using the web app on a tablet

You can also open the web app in your tablet’s browser. If the browser shows a prompt recommending the mobile app, select Continue to Site to keep using the web app, or Open in App to switch to the mobile app.
